Ogden residents can find a wealth of information about their community,
transact business with the city online, and search for their ancestors
in the citys cemetery database. Ogdencity.com has become
a significant resource for our residents, businesses and visitors,
said Mayor Matthew Godfrey. We are pleased to receive national
recognition for our innovative approaches to electronic government.
We've
been winning awards for years. Back in 1999, Infobytes developed the
award winning Utah League
of Cities and Towns' website. This website attracted national
attention in 1999 when Governing
Magazine named it one of the top 5 governmental websites in the
country. This past year (2004), the Utah League of Cities and Towns
converted to the StarGov engine, and are now completely in charge
of their own content, updates, and format.
One of our principals has over 25 years experience
working with local city, county, special service districts, and
states across the nation. Before founding Infobytes in 1995, Ms.
Gale was the Director of Marketing for a national insurance company
specializing in custom designed insurance for public entities. Infobytes
has a strong understanding of local government and how e-government
can assist entities in serving their constituents while diminishing
staff workload.
The combined talent, expertise, and background of
the principals is the cornerstone of StarGov. The StarGov engine
addresses many of the concerns of Public Entities entering and veterans
of e-government. StarGov renders state of the art components on
an incredibly robust engine--at an affordable rate for entities
funded by tax payers dollars. Allowing those tax payers to have
more service, convenience and interaction with their local government.
